What is Centre Warm Kids?

Centre Warm Kids is a community-driven initiative that collects, organizes, and distributes winter clothing to children throughout Centre County, Pennsylvania before the school year begins.

Who do you serve?

We focus on children from birth through age 18 living in Centre County and surrounding communities.

What items do you accept?

  • Winter coats
  • Boots
  • Hats
  • Gloves and mittens
  • Scarves
  • Other clean winter clothing suitable for children

We ask that donated items be clean, gently used, and in good condition.

Can I donate money instead?

Absolutely. Financial donations help us purchase missing sizes, replace worn items, purchase supplies, and support collection and distribution efforts throughout the year.

Are donations tax deductible?

Please refer to our current nonprofit status before claiming any charitable deduction. If you have questions, feel free to contact us.

How can I volunteer?

Volunteers are always welcome. Opportunities include sorting clothing, organizing inventory, helping with collection drives, preparing donations for distribution, and assisting at community events.

Do you need storage space?

Yes. Donated storage space is one of our greatest needs. Having a safe place to collect and organize clothing allows us to serve more families throughout the year.

Can my business, church, or school partner with Centre Warm Kids?

We’d love to talk. Community partnerships make this program possible. Organizations can host collection drives, provide volunteers, donate storage, sponsor supplies, or help connect families with available resources.

How are families connected with clothing?

As the program grows, we work with schools, community organizations, churches, and other trusted partners to help identify needs and distribute clothing respectfully and efficiently.

Where do financial donations go?

Donations support winter clothing purchases when needed, storage, supplies, transportation, outreach, and other reasonable operating expenses that allow Centre Warm Kids to serve local children.
