Centre Warm Kids was founded on a simple belief: our community deserves to know how donated funds are used. We are committed to operating with honesty, accountability, and responsible stewardship of every contribution entrusted to us.

Our Commitment

Every financial donation supports the mission of helping children in Centre County receive warm winter clothing before the school year begins. We work hard to keep operating expenses reasonable while ensuring the program has the resources necessary to serve families effectively.

How Donations May Be Used

Financial contributions may be used for expenses including, but not limited to:

  • Purchasing winter coats, boots, hats, gloves, and other clothing when donated inventory cannot meet community need.
  • Collection bins, shelving, storage supplies, and organization materials.
  • Storage space and transportation related to clothing collection and distribution.
  • Cleaning, sorting, and preparing donated clothing for distribution.
  • Community outreach, educational materials, and awareness campaigns.
  • Website hosting, payment processing fees, software, insurance, and other reasonable administrative expenses necessary to operate the organization.

Our Philosophy

We believe responsible stewardship means balancing direct program support with the practical costs of operating a reliable, sustainable organization. Investing in storage, organization, technology, and community outreach ultimately allows us to serve more children and better support local families.

Accountability

As Centre Warm Kids grows, we intend to publish periodic summaries of donations received, program expenses, and the impact those contributions have made within our community. Our goal is to provide supporters with confidence that their generosity is making a meaningful difference.

Volunteer Leadership

Centre Warm Kids is currently operated through the efforts of dedicated volunteers and community supporters. We believe every hour volunteered represents another opportunity to direct resources toward serving local children.
